New Delhi, Mar 25 (IBNS): External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Friday thanked Netherlands over the transfer of 525 Indians to Amsterdam following the militants attacks in Belgium capital Brussels.

"Thank you Netherlands. In the wake of terrorist bombings in Brussels, we were able to transfer 525 Indians to Amsterdam despite passengers not having Schengen Visa," Swaraj tweeted.

A Jet Airways flight, which carried Indian stranded in terror-hit Brussels, reached India on Friday.

Flight 9W 1229 from Amsterdam carried 214 guests and 28 crew members in it.

After reaching New Delhi, it left for Mumbai.

"A big welcome to our guests! Flight 9W 1229 from Amsterdam has landed at Delhi @IndEmbassyBru," Jet Airways tweeted after the flight reached Delhi.

"Cheers to our team who's just back from Amsterdam. Glad to see you all back home! :)" read another tweet.

After reaching Mumbai, the airways tweeted: "Touchdown! We've landed in Mumbai. Happy to see our guests and colleagues back home. #Hero's reception!"

Nearly 30 people died and close to 300 were injured after the Brussels airport and a metro station were bombed on Tuesday.

Terror outfit Islamic State on Thursday released a video where it has called on its followers to claim victory and wage jihad.

In a video released on social media, the Islamic State claimed that Belgium was part of a coalition fighting militants in the Middle East.

It also featured the training of Belgian militants suspected in the Nov 13 shooting and suicide bombing rampage by the terror outfit that killed 130 people in Paris.
