New Delhi, Apr 4 (IBNS): India's main opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday released a chargesheet against the ruling Congress party, accusing the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government as being the 'most corrupt since Independence'.

The chargesheet, named 'A Dark Decade In Governance', listed down nine charges against the Congress- led UPA government.

"Our first charge is that Sonia Gandhi and Manmohan Singh has compromised the dignity of the PM's office. Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi have devalued the PM's post as the PM acted more as a CEO of a company," said BJP spokesperson Ravi Shankar Prasad while releasing the chargesheet.

In its second charge, the BJP has accused the UPA government of 'destruction of Indian Economy'.

The BJP in its chargesheet said that a majority of the scams under the UPA rule amounted to more than Rs 10,000 crore.

The fourth charge, levelled by the BJP, is 'serious challenge to national security'.

The BJP also accused the UPA of 'faulty foreign policy' and 'neglecting the development of Northeast' in its list of charges against the UPA government.
"Delinking terror and dialogue has given Pakistan a handle to tilt the equation in its favour. Leverage arising out of January 04, 2004 Vajpayee‐Musharraf  agreement in India's favour has been lost," the chargesheet said.

The seventh charge levelled is 'failure in education and healthcare'.

Lastly, the BJP has charged the Congress ruled government of 'failing to fulfill 2009 manifesto'.
.

Charge 1: Compromising the dignity and integrity of the office of PM.
Charge 2: Destruction of the Indian economy.

Charge 3: Endless saga of scams and corruption.
Charge 4: Serious challenge to national security.
Charge 5: Failure of foreign policy.
Charge 6: Neglect of development of the Northeast.
Charge 7: Failure in education and healthcare.
Charge 8: Undermining institutions - CAG, appointment of CVC.
Charge 9: Failure to fulfill 2009 manifesto.
