BJP likely to issue showcause notice to Kirti Azad

| | Dec 22, 2015, at 07:30 pm
New Delhi, Dec 22 (IBNS) The Bharatiya Janata Party is likely to issue showcause notice to party MP Kirti Azad for his open attack on Finance Minister Arun Jaitley over alleged financial irregularities in Delhi & District Cricket Association (DDCA).

According to media reports, the action against the former cricketer-politician  will be taken after the Winter Session of Parliament ends on Wednesday.

In an explosive tweet on Monday night, Azad allegedly tweeted that he is not afraid by anyone and called Jaitley a 'napunsak' (eunach).

"I was visited at home by so many agencies to take precautions against threat to my life. Dear @arunjaitley, darta nahin hoon napunsako se," a tweet from his account said.

However, he later claimed  that his Twitter account was hacked and it was not his post. "My A/C is hacked. Statement on @arunjaitley as napunsak is not my tweet," he said.

Meanwhile, Azad has agreed to become a witness in the defamation case filed against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and five other AAP leaders. The Delhi High Court will on Tuesday hear the civil defamation case filed by Jaitley.
