BJP legislator in Rajasthan Kirti Kumari dies of swine flu

Jaipur, Aug 28 (IBNS): BJP legislator in Rajasthan Kirti Kumari passed away on Monday after suffering from swine flu, media reports said.

According to reports, she died at a private nursing hospital in Jaipur.

She was 50.

She was a ruling BJP MLA from  Mandalgarh constituency in Rajasthan’s Bhilwara district.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje‏ has condoled the death of the BJP leader.

Raje tweeted: "कीर्ति कुमारी जी के असामयिक निधन पर शोक व्यक्त करती हूँ।उनका निधन मेरे और समस्त भाजपा परिवार के लिए एक बहुत बड़ी क्षति है। (I condole the passing away of Kirti Kumari. Her death is a huge loss of me and the BJP family)."

The BJP leader reportedly passed away on Monday morning.

“She was keeping unwell for the past five to six days during her stay in Bijolia, and we had advised her to get proper treatment, but she said she was fine. We had called local physicians at home for her treatment but took her to a hospital in Kota and later shifted her to SMS hospital (in Jaipur) when her condition deteriorated,” Kumari’s brother Bhojraj told the Hindustan Times.
