Bengal polls: TMC unveils election manifesto

| | Mar 11, 2016, at 11:37 pm
Kolkata, Mar 11 (IBNS): West Bengal chief minister and Trinamool Congress (TMC) supremo Mamata Banerjee on Friday released party's manifesto, for upcoming assembly election, in Kolkata.
Mamata Banerjee has dedicated the manifesto to the "mother, earth and people" (Maa, Mati and Manush) of West Bengal.

Banerjee said, "Our party believes in policies which are necessarily people-friendly, industry-friendly and farmer-friendly, and which serve the aspirations of all people, irrespective of caste, creed and religion."

Meanwhile, attacking the 'understanding' between the Left  and Congress for upcoming assembly polls, TMC supremo said, "It's an unethical alliance. When I left the Congress and formed Trinamool, I claimed that the flag of Congress had been sold to the CPI-M. My allegation has been proved now."

The manifesto has been published in five languages, including- English, Bengali, Hindi, Urdu & Al Chiki.

A seven-phase assembly election in the state will be commencing from April 4 and concluding on May 5.
