Kolkata, Mar 21 (IBNS):The Election Commission on Monday launched a 24x7 toll free helpline number to help the voters for upcoming West Bengal Assembly elections.
Additional Chief Election Commissioner of West Bengal Dibyendu Sarkar said, "We are launching a 24x7 toll free helpline- 1950- for assembly elections. Our Samadhan mobile application is also available. After downloading and installing it, people have to register by providing their mobile numbers. Then they can send queries and complaints to ECI directly, through the app."

The Election Commission, meanwhile, has launched separate helpline numbers for all districts as well, which are not toll free. These numbers are available in WB CEO's official website (http://www.ceowestbengal.nic.in/GE2016_website_upload_data/DISTRICT_HELPLINE.pdf).

Meanwhile, the Election Commission of India (ECI) on Monday transferred ten IPS officers, including Malda SP Prasun Banerjee, Burdwan SP Kunal Agarwal, South Dinajpur SP Arnab Ghosh and Nadia SP Bhaskar Mukherjee.
