Bengal polls: Case registered against 'fleeing' TMC leader Anwar Khan

Kolkata, Apr 21 (IBNS) As controversy erupted in poll-bound West Bengal on Thursday morning regarding TMC leader Anwar Khan's comments about slapping the Election Commissioner, the police have registered an FIR against him, according to reports.

Reports have also stated that Khan, a TMC leader from Cossipore, Kolkata, who was kept under vigilance, have managed to evade attention, thus raising question about the patrolling standard in the state.

Cases under IPC section 188, (Disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant) and 506 (Criminal intimidation If threat be to cause death or grievous hurt, Etc) were slapped against him.
