Bangladeshi workers arrested in West Bengal for illegal entry

Kolkata, Jan 15 (IBNS) Fifty-three Bangladeshi nationals have been arrested in East Midnapore in West Bengal because they did not have the relevant papers for entering India, according to media reports

The police, tipped off by sources, rounded up 26 men, 13 women and 14 children, who were working in brick kilns in the area.  According to the local police, they had paid an agent to cross over and work as labours for a year in these kilns. The police have also arrested the agent, the owner of the kilns and four others.
