Alok Verma to become next Delhi Police Commissioner?

New Delhi, Feb 17 (IBNS) Alok Verma is likely to become the next Commissioner of Delhi Police, media reports said.

He will step into the shoes of B S Bassi.

"Sources said his name was cleared for the post in the evening. BS Bassi, the present commissioner is hanging in his boots on February 29," Hindustan Times reported.

The IPS officer is likely to take charge from Mar 1, reports said.

Bassi will retire on Feb 29.
