New Delhi: PM Narendra Modi remains one of the most followed persons on Twitter and this is evident from the huge number of people 'following' him on the micro-blogging site.

Adding one more glory to his crown, Modi's account is now being followed by 60 millions people.

He started using the platform in 2009 when he was serving as the Gujarat CM.

Modi uses the handle to connect with countrymen and to make political statements.

The Indian PM guided the Bharatiya Janata Party to another crucial Lok Sabha election victory last year.

He had taken oath as PM of India after winning the polls in 2014. The BJP removed the Congress-led UPA government to return to power at the Centre after 10 years.
