3.4 intensity earthquake hits Himachal Pradesh

Shimla, July 19 (IBNS): An earthquake measuring 3.4 on the Richter Scale hit Himachal Pradesh's Chamba region on Wednesday, officials said.

The epicentre of the quake was located at latitude 33.1 degrees north and longitude 76.4  degrees east, as per the IMD website.

The earthquake was felt at a depth of five kilometers.

It hit the Chamba area at around 19:18 hrs.

No casualty has been reported so far.

The IMD has called the intensity of the quake as 'slight'.
