26/11-like attack if Seema Haider not sent back to Pak: Mumbai Police receives threat call in Urdu

Mumbai cops received a call from an unidentified individual, who warned of a 26/11-like attack if Seema Haider, a Pakistani woman who arrived in India to marry her partner, did not return to her country,

According to media reports, the Mumbai Traffic Control Room received the call on Wednesday.

The caller speaking in Urdu threatened that if Seema Haider, who hails from Sindh province in Pakistan, did not return to her husband India would experience severe consequences and destruction.

An investigation was launched immediately after the threat call.

The Mumbai Police and Crime Branch are currently engaged in an investigation regarding this incident. While the Mumbai Police Control Room often receives such calls, the police are now closely examining the matter.

Seema Haider, who resided in Karachi since her marriage in 2014, was arrested on July 4 for unlawfully entering India without a visa through Nepal.

The 27-year-old woman had come to India along with her four children to meet her online game acquaintance, Sachin, whom she met on PUBG. Sachin was also arrested for providing shelter to illegal immigrants.

After their release, Sachin and Seema went to his parents' residence in the Rabupura area of Greater Noida to live together with her children. They claim to have been legally married in Nepal.

Seema and Sachin initially connected in 2019 while playing PUBG and their relationship deepened to the point where they decided to live together in India, unbeknownst to Seema's husband, Ghulam Haider, who was working in Saudi Arabia at the time.

In a video plea, Ghulam Haider, Seema's husband, appealed to the Indian government for assistance in reuniting him with his wife.
