Kolkata, Apr 13 (IBNS): As Kolkata is gearing up for the Bengali New Year, city restaurant The Palms on Friday introduced new Oriental cousins in their menu.

Discussing about the new menu, owner,Priyadarshini Dey said :“The new Oriental Menu perfectly represents Calcutta’s love for good food. Another positive about the food on the offing at The Palms Corner is its attention to dishes that are not found elsewhere in the city and the fact that each and every dish prepared is wholly organic and is devoid of any artificial colours or flavour. Our Oriental menu comprises of some traditional Thai, Malaysian, Cantonese and Japanese recipes."

"The dishes in our menu are one of a kind, all sauces are prepared in our kitchen and are our chef's special. There are mainly signature dishes which is available only at The Palms. We do not believe in innovation and fancy fusion food. Authenticity and flavours are the USP of the Menu,” she added.

The menu is two fold offering both Oriental as well North Indian cuisine. The Palms Restaurant offers guests two separate menus which are both comprehensive insights into the authentic food that they want to cater to the city.

The North Indian food menu is handled by Head Chef Amalendu Sarkar and Tandoori Chef Tapash Roy. Chef Amalendu said: “None of the food that we serve here have any hints of artificial flavour in them. Everything is done with natural products.”
