West Bengal registers 3512 new Covid cases, 35 deaths

Kolkata: West Bengal registered 3512 new Covid cases, 293 less than the previous day, in the past 24 hours, as per data released by the state health department.

During the same period, 35 people died of the viral disease.

On Friday, the state had logged 3805 cases.

The total death toll due to the virus in West Bengal now stands at 20,550.

Kolkata accounted for the most number of cases - 459, followed by North 24 Parganas district at 433.

In Darjeeling, the number of new cases increased to 313, followed by South 24 parganas district (212), Nadia (207), Birbhum (192), Hooghly (155), Jalpaiguri (153), Purba Bardhaman (148), Coochbehar (135), Malda (125), Paschim Bardhaman (124) and Howrah (119), the health department bulletin said.
