Tremors felt in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh

Three back-to-back earthquakes of moderate intensity jolted Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh on Monday, officials said.

There have been no report of any casualties or damage in these earthquakes so far.

The magnitude of the first earthquake was measured on the Richter scale 5.5 with the epicenter at 33.41 in the north and 76.70 in the east. The tremors were in Ladakh, Kargil and parts of Kashmir valley for a few seconds. The tremors were felt at 15.48 pm with the 10km depth Kargil Ladakh .

The second earthquake measured on the Richter scale 4.8 occurred 16.01 pm with the epicenter 33.40 in the north and 76.58 in the East with 10km depth at Kishtwar, J&K for a few seconds.

The third earthquake at 16.18 pm, measured on the Richter scale 3.6 with the epic center at 33.37 in the north and 76.57 in the east with the depth at 10 km in Kishtwar in Jammu and Kashmir.
