Srinagar, Jul 20 (IBNS) : Six people were killed in cloudburst and heavy rain in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday night, media reports said.

NDTV has quoted police as saying that 11 people have been injured and several houses and shops have been damaged.

According to reports, rescue  work is going on in the area.

Doda, which is in Jammu region, experienced heavy rainfall this monsoon. Earlier this week landslides were reported from Ramban district that forced suspension of traffic on the Jammu-Sringar national highway that links Jammu with the Kashmir valley.
