Jammu and Kashmir: SSP Srinagar launches plantation drive at DPL

Srinagar: SSP Srinagar Dr M Haseeb Mughal today kick started a plantation drive at the District Police Headquarters (DPL) Srinagar.

The SSP planted pine, willow and other trees within the premises of District Police Office Srinagar.

He was flanked by SP Headquarters Srinagar, Senior Prosecuting Officer DPO Srinagar, DySP Headquarters Srinagar, and other officers of the district, who also participated in the drive by planting trees.

On the occasion SSP Srinagar said that the drive is aimed to create green spaces around concrete structures, so the ecological balance is maintained.

“Plantation is the basic environmental conservation and we must make endeavours by creating oxygen zones by planting trees in the interest of sustainable development. Being part of a responsible organization, we must plant trees to keep the nature in its best balance, we must gift our future generations a green and clean environs,” the SSP said.
