Hundreds of trains, flights hit by fog in NCR

New Delhi, Jan 6 (IBNS): Hundreds of trains were cancelled and tens of flights were affected in India's National Capital Region owing to fog on Sunday, reports said.

Morning rain brought down the temperature to 7 degrees Celsius on the year's first Sunday.

A total of 320 trains were cancelled and 129 were partially cancelled, The Indian Express said. More than 40 flights were delayed.

Among the train delayed on Sunday are Dehradun to Howrah Doon Express by 7 hours, Jannayak Express from Darbhanga to Amritsar by nine hours late and the GangaSatluj Express from Firozpur to Dhanbad by 10 hours, the report added.
