Heavy rain likely to occur in Telangana in next 3 days: MET

Hyderabad, Jul 27 (UNI) Heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places in Telangana during the next three days, Meteorological Department warned on Saturday.

In a bulletin here, it also warned that heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places in Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam during the next 48 hours and also on July 31.

Light to moderate rain or thundershowers is likely to occur at most places/ at many places/ at few places in Telangana, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam and Rayalaseema during the next five days, the bulletin said.

Southwest Monsoon has been active in Telangana, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam during the last 24 hours, while normal in Rayalaseema during the same period.

Under its influence, very heavy rain occurred at isolated places in the district of Jayashankar- Bhupalpally of Telangana.

Heavy Rain also occurred at isolated places in the districts of Bhadradri- Kothagudem, Nirmal, Jagtial, Khammam and Peddapalle of Telangana.
Heavy rain occurred at isolated places in the districts of East Godavari and West Godavari of Coastal Andhra Pradesh.

Rain occurred at most places in Telangana, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam and at few places in Rayalaseema during the period, the bulletin said.
