Environment Canada issues heat warning in Ontario

Toronto/IBNS: A heat warning remains in effect on Wednesday for southern and parts of northern Ontario, Environment Canada has said.

The maximum temperatures will be near 30 degrees on Wednesday but will feel higher in some regions due to the humidity.

The heat warning is applicable to Hamilton, Toronto, Niagara, London, Halton-Peel, and other regions in southern Ontario, as well as Greater Sudbury, Kirkland Lake, and North Bay in the northern province.

The agency reportedly said that the air quality will worsen with the hot and humid air.

The agency also warned that children, pregnant women, older adults, people with chronic illnesses, and people working or exercising outdoors face greater risks due to the heat.
