Kolkata, Feb 9 (IBNS) Building on its commitment towards the cause of tiger conservation in India, Aircel organized a two-day field visit for its trade partners from Kolkata to Sunderbans National Park and Tiger reserve.

With an aim to raising awareness amongst the trade community on the importance and significance of tiger conservation, trade partners from across Kolkata were taken to Sunderbans Tiger Reserve to be a part of nature and understand the intricacies and the efforts that go into Tiger conservation and to also witness wild animals in their natural habitat.

Besides this, trade partners also got an opportunity to interact with a number of naturalists and field staff who shared their experiences and their journey in the field of conservation and emphasizing upon the trade partners to absorb as much as they could from this trip.

The web of life along with the pivotal role played by the Tiger in the preservation of the entire ecosystem, besides the uniqueness of the Sunderbans habitat was also explained to the trade partners. Each trade partner pledged to champion the “Save Our Tigers” cause of Aircel and do their bit to spread the message with their clients in turn.

Aircel has been championing the cause of ‘Save Our Tigers’ for over six years now.

Anil Gupta, Regional Manager, East, Aircel said, “Tigers are one of the most endangered species and creating awareness about tiger conservation in the country is one of the integral strides of Aircel’s “Save Our Tigers” campaign. The cause of ‘Save Our Tigers’ is one that is  deeply embedded in our ethos and what better platform to align our trade partners towards this cause than by having them move out of the usual showroom and shop surroundings to go visit the forests and firsthand  experience the call of the wild. We value the relationship we share with our trade partners and having them rally along with us to champion this cause is something we will always cherish.”

Tapan Kumar Mukherjee, an Aircel Distributor from Naihati said, “This trip has been fantastic. We are used to being incentivized with cash rewards, etc, but this incentive has been both unique and at the same time given us the opportunity to be a part of something so noble like the ‘Save Our Tigers’ initiative. This trip has been very fulfilling, something different and wonderful and I hope to be a part of many more such educative yet enjoyable trips”.

Shyam Kumar Rastogi of Howrah further added, “This has been one of the most exciting trips for me. Aircel ‘Save Our Tigers’ is a very noble cause and it is important that we all rally along with the company to ensure that we do not lose this magnificent animal from the face of this earth”.

Manju Ganguly of Kolkata said, “I am thankful to Aircel for taking me on this wonderful and enriching trip which in turn has also been one of the biggest learning of my life as it has helped open my eyes to important issues such as Tiger and nature conservation”.
