6.1 magnitude earthquake hits Arunachal Pradesh, no casualty

New Delhi, Apr 24 (IBNS): An earthquake measuring 6.1 on the Richter Scale hit India's Arunachal Pradesh state on the early hours of Wednesday, officials said.

The epicentre of the quake was located at West Siang district in the state, as per India Meteorological Department website.

The quake hit the region at 1. 45 am IST.

The epicentre was located at 27.7 degrees north latitude and 85.1 degrees east longitude, as per IMD website.

As per China's Xinhua news agency, the quake was also felt in Tibet.

No casualty has been reported so far.
