Vikram Solar commissions 164 kWp Rooftop Solar Power Plant at Belur Math

Kolkata: Vikram Solar, one of India’s module manufacturers and a rooftop solar and EPC solutions provider, commissioned rooftop solar plant for Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) at Belur Math, the headquarters of Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission.

The plant will power six buildings at Belur Math- Shilpvidyalaya, Shilpamandira, Shilpayatan, Shikshanmandira, Bank and Showroom.

Kuldeep Kumar Jain, BU Head of EPC, Vikram Solar said on the occasion, “Belur Math is one of the most significant spiritual institutions in India, founded by Swami Vivekananda himself. We are very proud to have become a part of this institution by offering something sustainable."

He further added, “The project, being under the banner of the Government of India, presented a strict quality and performance approval process. Vikram Solar, known for its quality and performance standards, successfully commissioned the project within agreed-upon timelines, maintaining quality and customer-centricity. We thank DVC for taking this step towards energy sustainability with us and hope to be a part of the company's future green endeavours.”

The company currently has a Rooftop portfolio of 70 MW (Commissioned + Under execution) and has delivered green energy solutions to government entities such as- ISRO, IOCL, SBI, WBSEDCL, and AAI.

The company said it has recently commissioned Eastern India’s largest single-shed rooftop solar project at Nilganj, North 24 Paraganas, West Bengal. The 2.15 MW project was awarded to Vikram Solar by Keventer Agro Limited.
