Sensex opens above 26000 level at record high

Mumbai, July 7 (IBNS) The BSE Sensex crossed the 26,000 level on the opening on Monday with expectations from the new government in the budget of 2014.

In the morning the Sensex was at  26,095 points, which is 0.57 per cent above the closing on Friday.

NSE's Nifty hit all time high and traded at 7,791.4 and its low was at 7,767.40 in trade Monday.

IT companies did well in the market with Infosys, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), MindTree, HCL Technologies and Wipro stocks going up 1-3%.
