Private sector lender Bandhan Bank on Tuesday reported a more than 11% year-on-year growth in total business for the first quarter of FY2026-27, with its total business crossing ₹3.2 lakh crore.

The bank said its retail deposits now account for nearly 74% of total deposits, reflecting a strong and stable deposit franchise.

Bandhan Bank attributed the growth to its expanding distribution network, improved operational efficiency, and continued focus on customer-centric banking. The lender reported a net profit of ₹502 crore for the April-June quarter.

The bank currently serves around 3.2 crore customers through nearly 6,400 banking outlets spread across 35 of India's 36 states and Union Territories. It employs more than 74,500 people nationwide.

During the first quarter of FY2026-27, total deposits grew 7% year-on-year to ₹1.65 lakh crore, while total advances stood at ₹1.56 lakh crore.

The bank's Current Account and Savings Account (CASA) ratio stood at 29.4%, while its Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR)—a key measure of financial strength—remained robust at 18.2%, comfortably above the regulatory requirement.

Commenting on the performance, Partha Pratim Sengupta, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Bandhan Bank, said: "Our Q1 FY2026-27 performance reflects the resilience of Bandhan Bank's franchise, the commitment of our teams, and the trust our stakeholders continue to place in us."

He added: "As we build on this momentum, we remain focused on delivering customer-centric and digitally enabled growth. By strengthening our distribution network, expanding our product offerings, and harnessing data-driven insights, we are well positioned to create greater value for our customers and stakeholders while driving sustainable, balanced, and future-ready growth."
