Sensex, Nifty at record high
Mumbai, Aug 19 (IBNS): BSE Sensex and Nifty hit a record high on Tuesday after rising for the sixth straight session.
Sensex was up 127 points to 26,518, surpassing its previous high of 26,413. Nifty climbed to 35 points to move above 7,900 for the first time, following a boost due to strong buying from overseas and domestic financial institutions.
Brent crude oil also shed over $2 a barrel to reach its lowest price in over a year on Monday.
