Satya Nadella's wife Anupama donates Rs. 2 cr to PM-CARES Fund

New Delhi/IBNS: Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella's wife Anupama has donated Rs. 2 crore to the PM-CARES Fund, constituted to fight the impact of novel coronavirus in India.

She has donated the amount from her personal income.

Welcoming her gesture, Indian Vice President Venakaih Naidu tweeted: "Happy to know Smt Anupama Nadella contributed from her personal income a sum of Rs 2 crore each to PM-CARES FUND and Chief Ministers Relief Fund of Telangana to combat COVID-19."

The VP said her gesture shows her concern for motherland despite staying abroad.

According to reports, Anupama had earlier donated Rs 2 crore to Telangana Chief Minister Welfare Fund to be used during the lockdown period.
