Rajnath chairs HLC meeting for assistance to states affected by natural disasters

New Delhi, Jan 30 (IBNS): Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh chaired a meeting here on Friday of the High Level Committee (HLC) for Central Assistance to states under the National Disaster Response Fund.
Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh and senior officers of the Ministries of Agriculture, Finance and Home participated in the discussions. 
 
The Committee examined the proposals, based on the visits of the Central Team to the States affected by severe Natural Disasters during the last year. 
 
The HLC decided the assistance from NDRF in respect of Jammu and Kashmir, Kerala, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh and Haryana.
