OYO Hotels & Homes elevates Harshit Vyas to Chief Business Officer

Kolkata/UNI: OYO Hotels & Homes, the world’s second-largest chain of leased and franchised hotels, homes, living and workspaces, today announced the appointment of Harshit Vyas, as the Chief Business Officer, India, effective October 01, 2019.

This appointment is in line with the company's efforts to invest in world-class leadership and move a step closer to its goal of upgrading all forms of real estate and thereby enable 3.2 billion middle-income travellers and city dwellers experience #LivingTheGoodLife.

One of the youngest CXOs in the hospitality industry, Harshit, is an early OYOpreneur originally from Bhilwara, Rajasthan, who has been working closely with Ritesh since OYO’s inception. In 2013, he joined the company as one of its first five core employees focusing on business development for OYO's first city launch in Gurgaon.

During his tenure at OYO, he has led OYO’s first foray in the international market as part of which he set up a team of local nationals, tested out various business models and built relationships with asset partners in Malaysia.

Prior to his elevation as the Chief Business Officer - India, he was tasked with the role of Head of West Region, leading a team of over 2000 employees.

Under Harshit's leadership, the West Region has seen a high growth trajectory and become the fastest growing and most profitable business unit for the company.
In his new role as the Chief Business Officer - India, Harshit will report into Aditya Ghosh, CEO of OYO, Hotels & Homes, India & South Asia and will be responsible to drive execution of all business metrics including supply, demand, and operations. He will have field teams across India reporting to him and will work closely with the central capability functions.

Harshit is an Alumnus of IIT BHU. With over half a decade of experience in the hospitality industry, Harshit is passionate about mentoring aspiring business leaders through his talks at various reputed management institutes across topics ranging leadership, management, innovation, productivity and work culture.

He is also a member of the Mumbai chapter of the Young Indians & Young leaders council by AIMA, where he is committed to mentor the youth and give them insights into the world of Business.
