Indian Rupee slips 20 paise against USD
Mumbai/UNI: The Rupee on Wednesday slid 20 paise to 72.02 in opening trade, as tension in the middle-east escalated after Iran fired missiles at US military bases in Iraq along with brisk demand for selling of US Dollars by bankers and importers, dealers at the Forex Market said.
A minor fluctuation was seen in early trade today, as local unit registered intra-day high and low at 72.07 and 71.96 respectively.
The Rupee was weak owing to strong dollar against other world currencies, they added.
