Indian Rupee ends strong at 70.91 against USD

Mumbai, Dec 10 (UNI) Extending gains for the fifth straight session the Rupee surged by 13 paise to end strong at 70.91 against the greenback on Tuesday on brisk selling of US Dollars by bankers and exporters, the dealers at the Forex Market said.

The local unit rose by 10 paise to 70.94 in opening trade, and gained further by 13 paise to end strong at 70.91

as compared to its last close.

The domestic unit recorded day high and low at 71.04 and 70.90 respectively.

The Rupee remained firm because of weak Dollar against other world currencies despite of negative equity market, they added.
