Indian Market: Sensex zooms 592.97 pts

Mumbai/UNI: The BSE Sensex on Monday added another solid gains of 592.97 pts at 37,981.6 as buying was seen across the board amid positive global cues.

The nifty of national stock exchange too rose by 177.30 pts at 11,227.55.

Advancing 835 pts on Friday, the day opened on a strong note at 37,756.25, up by 368 pts. During the day it spurted 647 pts to 38,035.87, days high before closing at 37,981.63, up by 592.97 pts from its previous close.

The sensex registered days high and low at 38,035.87 and 37,544.05 pts respectively.

The Nifty recorded days high and low at 11,239.35 and 11,099.85 pts respectively.

The sectoral indices like Power, Bankex, Auto, Realty, Utilities and Industrials kept the market strong.

In scrips, IndusInd Bank, Bajaj Finance, Axis Bank, ONGC and Powergrid boosted the market further.

However, Hind Unilever and Nestle India were seen weak today.

The Mid Cap rose by 2.68 pc and Small Cap by 2.54 pc. In 30 scrips, 28 advanced while 2 declined.
