BSE Sensex, Nifty start on a weak note

Mumbai, Jan 1 (IBNS): After a poor start on Thursday morning, the market recovered slightly during noon trade on the first day of the year.

The BSE Sensex is down by 42.41 points to stand at 27457.01.

The Nifty is down by 10.90 points to be at 8271.80.
