Ottawa, Oct 2 (IBNS): Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has said the United States Mexico Canada Agreement (USMCA), a new trade deal, is good for all people to go forward.

The USMCA is the renewed North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).

In an instagram video, Trudeau said: "The agreement is good for middle class, Canadians and for us all going forward."

Supporting the Prime Minister's statement, Canadian Foreign Affairs Minister Chrystia Freeland said: "This (the agreement) is a good for Canada, workers, middle class families. It means we can continue to trade in the largest trading zone in the world."

After a series of talks and discussions over a renewed North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), the US and Canada have reached at a trade agreement.

NAFTA was an agreement which came into force from January 1994 by Canada, Mexico and United States creating a trilateral trade bloc in North America.

Trump had earlier alleged that the US faced severe losses in the trade pact with Canada and Mexico.

In early September, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau had cleared that the Liberals won't compromise on culture and dispute resolution during the talks over NAFTA.

Trudeau had said Canada won't sign a new deal if it does not include a dispute resolution mechanism and exemptions from cultural industries.
