USA: Hundreds arrested protesting Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh's appointment in Washington

Washington, Oct 5 (IBNS): Hundreds of protesters, who were demonstrating against US President Donald Trump's Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, have been arrested in Washington, reports said.

The arrested individuals, including comedian Amy Schumer and model/actress Emily Ratajkowski, are mostly women, who took to the streets in the national capital after a Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) report acquitted Kavanaugh of sexual assault allegations.

Protesters also demonstrated in front of the Trump Tower in New York.

However, the opposition Democratic Party has termed the FBI investigation as incomplete, as it said that the process faced restrictions from the White House.

Kevanaugh, who is likely to get nominated, will strengthen the Republican position in the US Supreme Court
