| @indiablooms | Jun 27, 2023, at 03:14 pm

Police on Tuesday said a Tesla car, which was operating on autopilot mode,  crashed into a truck providing traffic control on the Pennsylvania Turnpike, media reports said.

In a news release, police said the crash happened at mile marker 48.8 in Plum on Friday night, WTAE reported.

The driver, an 18-year-old Michigan man, was headed east when he hit the back of a semi-truck, which was stationary and providing traffic control for a lane closure, police said.

Police said the man lost control of the vehicle as the car was on autopilot.

No injuries were reported due to the incident.
