A British couple who won a house in a sweepstakes 60 years ago have struck luck again—this time by winning the lottery, according to media reports.

Pamela and Anthony Hiscocks, residents of Melksham in the UK, won big through the Postcode Lottery’s Millionaire Street prize after their postcode, SN12 7HB, was selected as the winning entry, People reported.

The Hiscocks shared a £1 million prize pot with six other neighbours after their postcode landed the weekly Millionaire Street prize.

According to the Postcode Lottery website, each winning ticket was worth £142,857.

Speaking to the BBC about the unexpected windfall, Pamela said, “We’ve been lucky in the past, but this is just amazing.”

The couple said they plan to share the money with their family, including contributing towards their granddaughter’s wedding.

They are also preparing to celebrate their own wedding anniversary in October, and Pamela revealed they are dreaming of a special family holiday.

“We can pay for everyone to have a once-in-a-lifetime holiday. I’d like a cruise,” she told the BBC.

Interestingly, Pamela and Anthony had previously won their three-bedroom bungalow decades ago in a competition organised by the developers who built the housing estate in the 1960s.

Another local couple, grandparents Lesley, 77, and Philip, 79, also celebrated the lottery win.

Lesley, who is living with incurable cancer, received the same £142,857 prize as her friend and described the moment as overwhelming after years of personal hardship.

“It’s just unbelievable. I never, in all my dreams, thought I’d win that much money,” she was quoted as saying on the Postcode Lottery website.
