Trump looking forward towards improved relation with Russia

Washington, Jan 8 (IBNS): Advocating for an improved relationship with Russia, US President-elect Donald Trump said he's looking forward towards one.

He also slammed those contradicting Trump's bonhomie with the Kremlin.

Calling them 'stupid people', the US President-elect tweeted, "Having a good relationship with Russia is a good thing, not a bad thing. Only 'stupid' people, or fools, would think that it is bad!"

"We have enough problems around the world without yet another one," he said.

Trump also promised an improved relationship with Putin and his government during the former's tenure at the Oval Office.

"When I am President, Russia will respect us far more than they do now and both countries will, perhaps, work together to solve some of the many great and pressing problems and issues of the WORLD!" he said.

Earlier, Trump also caused significant discomfort to the present US government after he openly endorsed the Russian President as a 'smart man'.
