Karachi/New Delhi, Oct 15 (IBNS) Geeta, a deaf and mute Indian woman, who has been stranded in Pakistan for 11 years after accidentally crossing the border, is likely to be flown home soon, media reports said.

Officials in New Delhi have confirmed that Geeta has identified her father, step-mother and sbilings from a photograph sent to her by the Indian High Commission in Islamabad. The family lives in Bihar.

Geeta, now in her early 20s, was around 11 years old when she wandered over one of the world's most militarized borders.

Since then, she has been looked after by the charitable Edhi Foundation. She currently lives at a home run by the charity in Karachi.
