At least six people were injured in a stabbing incident in Israel's  Hadera city on Wednesday.

The incident occurred in four different locations in the city.

Police told The Times of Israel that the suspect, who appeared to have acted alone, used a moped to get from one location to the next, attacking people at each place.

The suspect was later identified by Hebrew-language media as an Arab Israeli resident of Umm al-Fahm, the newspaper reported.

The person was reportedly known to the police for his previous criminal activities.

The condition of two of the injured persons is said to be critical.

The incident occurred amid the ongoing Middle East crisis and the first anniversary of the Hamas attack on Israel.

Last week,  seven people were killed and at least eight others wounded in a stabbing and shooting incident in Jaffa.
