South Korea: At least 13 hurt in stabbing rampage and car ramming near Seoul

At least 13 people were hurt as an unknown attacker drove a car onto a pedestrian walkway and went on a stabbing rampage at a department store in South Seongnam city on Thursday, media reports said.

The attacker, who is believed to be in his 20s, was arrested by the police.

The spot of the attack was located adjacent to the Seohyeon subway station.

The suspect is employed in the delivery industry, sources told South Korea's Yonhap news agency.

According to reports, nine people were stabbed by him while four others were hit by the car before he went on a rampage.
