Governor’s spokesman, Asmatullah Muradi told Pajhwok Afghan News 26 Taliban insurgent killed and seven others captured in Afghan forces operation in capital of the province late on Friday night.

Speaking to the news agency, he identified the detained insurgents as Gul Nabi, Mirza Fariduddin, Qari Bahauddin, Baridad, Safar Mohammmad, Abdul Wahid and Mulavi Abdul Majid.

“Afghan forces are recently ordered of targeted attacks and operations against the insurgents and that is the reason of Taliban’s high casualties,” he told the news agency.

Several Taliban hideouts, weapons and equipment were destroyed during the incident.

Taliban did not comment on the issue so far.
