Raheel Sharif visits Pakistan Rangers HQ in Karachi

Karachi, June 26 (IBNS): General Raheel Sharif, Pakistan's Chief of Army Staff (COAS), visited Headquarters Pakistan Rangers (Sind), at Karachi today. COAS was briefed in detail by DG Rangers about ongoing operations, the prevailing security situation and the way forward for Karachi operation.

COAS commended the sacrifices and achievements of Sind Rangers which have brought about significant improvement in the law and order situation in the city so far, Pakistan's ISPR said in a statement.


Talking to the troops, the COAS said that determination, courage and resolve of  Sind Rangers, to rid the City of the terrorists and criminals has earned them widest respect from the people of Karachi.


He reiterated that across the board operation focuses on the entire network of terrorists, their abettors and financiers, and will continue till we achieve our objective of peace and restore normalcy in all parts of Karachi. Every assistance including intelligence and material combat support will be provided to the Rangers to accomplish their mission.

Referring to recent incidents, COAS directed all commanders including those of intelligence agencies to continue working hand in glove and leave no stone unturned in finding the perpetrators.
