RAB arrest two suspected terrorists from Dhaka

Dhaka/IBNS: The Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) members on Thursday arrested two members of banned militant outfit Ansarullah Bangla Team (ABT) from the country's capital city Dhaka, media reports said.

The arrests were made from Pallabi area in the city.

The arrestees are Manjurul Islam alias Sohag, 26, of Sherpur and Abbas Uddin alias Shukur Ali, 22, of Cumilla, The Daily Star newspaper of Bangladesh reported.

A team of Rab conducted an operation at Pallabi around 9:45pm yesterday and arrested the duo, said Mizanur Rahman Bhuiyan, senior assistant director of Rab's legal and media wing told the newspaper.

A huge amount of anti-state leaflets, extremist books and digital contents  were recovered from them.
