New York/IBNS: The pilot and co-pilot of an Air Canada Express flight were killed after the aircraft collided with a ground vehicle at LaGuardia Airport, media reports said.

The flight, which was travelling from Montreal, struck the vehicle upon arrival at the airport, flight tracking platform FlightRadar24 reported.

Unverified videos circulating on social media suggested the nose section of the aircraft sustained damage in the collision. Several are critically injured as per reports.

The incident prompted the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to suspend operations at the airport until 5:30 am (GMT), with a warning that the halt could be extended.

Firefighters and emergency response teams were deployed to the scene following the crash.

According to reports, the Air Canada Express CRJ-900, carrying around 100 passengers, collided with the vehicle on Runway 4.
