Paris: Soldier shoots attacker

Paris, Feb 3 (IBNS): A French soldier on Friday shot and injured a man, who was carrying a knife, in Paris city, media reports said.

According to reports, the man shouted "Allahu Akbar" and attemped to enter an underground shopping area outside the Louvre.

A big security operation is under way and the interior ministry has described the situation as "serious", reported BBC.

The Louvre was evacuated following the incident.
