Pakistan: Two navy men killed in attack on vehicle in Gwadar

Quetta: At least two Pakistan Navy men died as their vehicle was attacked in the country's Ganz area on Saturday, media reports said.

Official sources told Dawn News the Pakistan Navy’s vehicle was on its way to Ganz from Jiwani when unidentified attackers opened fire on it with automatic weapons.

One sailor of Pakistan Navy and a barber were martyred and another Navy man suffered injuries, a security official told the newspaper.

The deceased were identified as Sohail, the sailor, and Noman. The inj­ured was identified as Raza, Dawn News reported.

Security forces rushed to the area after the incident.

Investigation into the incident is currently going on.

Provincial Finance Minister Zahoor Buledi tweeted: "Strongly condemn the terrorist attack on Pak Navy QRF near Jiwani Gwadar today. May the martyred soul rest in peace and injured Jawans recover very soon."
