Islamabad: Security forces in Pakistan killed at least six Baloch Nationalist Army (BNA) separatists involved in various attacks including the Lahore bomb blast earlier this year, the military's media wing said on Saturday.

“On information of presence of terrorists in general area Nagao Mountains, near Sibi, Balochistan, security forces conducted an operation to apprehend them,” the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement, Express Tribune reported.

The terrorists tried to escape once the troops started clearance operation in the area, and opened fire on security forces.

Six seperatists belonging to BNA including Naseeb Ullah Bangalzai alias Jahangir, Pir Jan and Rakai Kalhoi were killed in ensuing exchange of fire, the ISPR added.

Arms and ammunition were recovered from the slain terrorists, which were intended to be used by them for disrupting peace and security in the area.
