Pakistan records fresh 135 deaths due to COVID-19

Islamabad: Pakistan on Wednesday recorded a massive fatality due to COVID-19 as the country registered 135 deaths in the last 24 hours, media reports said.

The figure marks the highest single day death toll reported this year.

The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) stats showed that the 135 new deaths took the nationwide death tally from coronavirus to 15,754, reports Geo News.

The daily data issued by NCOC showed that Pakistan carried out 48,092 COVID-19 tests, out of which 4,681 returned positive, the news channel reported.
