Attock, Aug 16 (IBNS): A suicide bomb attack in Pakistan's Shadi Khan village killed Punjab province Home Minister Colonel (retd) Shuja Khanzada while he was in his political office on Sunday.
"Punjab home minister Colonel (retd) Shuja Khanzada was killed in a suicide attack on his political office in Shadi Khan village. His death was confirmed by Dr Syed Elahi, adviser to the chief minister of Punjab," Pakistan's Dawn.com reported.

The  intense explosion was targetted at Khanzada's political office on Sunday where seven other people were reported dead earlier in the day.

As a result of the blast, the roof of the building collapsed and window panes of nearby houses were shattered.

About 50-100 people are reportedly trapped beneath the debris as the entire structure has been destroyed.
